Who we are

GIFTY by The Order Shop is an online gift shop delivering in Zimbabwe, at theordershop.com. We decide what happens to the information described here, and you can reach us using the details at the bottom of this page.

What we collect

• Your order details: your name, phone number, email address and delivery address, what you ordered and how you paid.
• Proof of payment: if you pay by transfer or remittance and upload a screenshot, we keep it with your order so it can be checked.
• Your account, if you open one: your email address, name, phone number and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your password. We can never see the password itself.
• Price and stock alerts, if you ask for them: your email address and the product you are watching.
• Gift finder answers: what you type or tap in the gift finder, so we can suggest gifts and learn what people look for. It is kept without your name or contact details, so leave those out of the box.
• Visits: which pages are viewed and which advert or link brought a visitor here, so we know which adverts are worth paying for.

We do not ask for your national ID, passport number, bank statements, employer details or any financial documents, and we never ask for your card number, bank login or mobile-money PIN.

How we use it

• To take payment, deliver your order and contact you about it.
• To run your account and layby, if you have one.
• To send the alerts you asked for. Every alert email has a link to stop them.
• If you have ordered from us, to send you the occasional WhatsApp message about new gifts or offers. Reply STOP and we won't message you again.
• To see which adverts bring customers, only if you accept the advertising cookie.

Who else sees it

• Our delivery partners get the name, phone number and address on the parcel.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google learn which pages were visited and which adverts led to a sale, only if you accepted the advertising cookie. Where we report a sale to Meta, your email address and phone number are scrambled into an unreadable fingerprint first; neither receives your actual email address, phone number or address.

We do not sell your information, and we share it with no one else unless the law requires it.

Our social media posting

We use the official tools of Facebook, Instagram and TikTok to publish our own adverts and product videos on our own Page and accounts. That app acts only on the shop's own accounts. It does not sign in any customer, and it collects no information about you or any other user of those platforms.

Cookies

One cookie keeps your cart and sign-in working and cannot be switched off. A second, for advertising, is set only if you accept it. How our cookies work.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep business records. Alerts stop as soon as you unsubscribe. Anything else is deleted when you ask us to delete it.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Message us on WhatsApp at +263783360202 using the contact details below, and tell us the phone number or email address you used with us. We will act on it within 30 days and confirm when it is done. Records we must keep by law, such as paid invoices, are kept only for as long as the law requires.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page.
